eBay’s position in the online retail industry has allowed the company to collect massive amounts of data from the get-go. With innovations from the Data Architecture Team including Data Modeling as a Service (DMaaS ) and usage of new open-source analytics layer is enabling access to near-line and analytical information at increasingly fast speeds. This approach of self-service tools and Agile Data Architecture allows eBay, Inc. to serve its customers, both internal and external.
Mark Uksusman is a Sr. Manager, Data Architecture at eBay, Inc., overseeing Data Architecture, Data Governance and Metadata Management. Mark Uksusman has more than 20 years' of experience in IT management, business intelligence, product development, data governance, data architecture and data warehousing. Before joining eBay, Inc, he was a Vice President of Technology and Engineering for Loan Performance and Senior IT Manager of Information Management for Franklin Templeton Investments. Prior to Franklin Templeton, he served as principal consultant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He has also led IT teams at E-Forex, IDC, and IBS.
