This presentation will focus on the successful development of a data architecture at the Center for Tobacco Products (CTP) in the FDA while quickly redeveloping the system that supports the enforcement of regulations involving the sale and advertisement of tobacco products. Even though this effort supported only one of the major responsibilities of CTP, a major portion of the involved data was needed across the rest of the organization. The Natural Language Modeling approach to understanding the data rules allowed the data architecture to be incrementally developed to support the entire organization and it eliminated a significant amount of rework as the agile modules were developed.\nWhat you will learn:\nPrecisely understanding business rules can incrementally grow your data architecture\nData support for agile development is productive\nData architecture provides a foundation for multiple agile projects\nNatural Language Modeling efficiently captures business rules from diverse subject matter experts\nLess rework on the data and agile development improves the collaborative environment
