But an even larger, if largely unseen trend is the rise of Big Metadata; the data that we collect and store *about* our data. In fact, the growth in Big Metadata is larger still, by several orders of magnitude. We'll need new ideas and new tools to retain and manage all of this data; and new ways of using (and profiting from) Big Metadata. This talk will focus on the value and management of metadata over long periods of time, and the risks and strategies involved.
