Level:  Business/Strategic

Large investments have been made by companies to load and repose disparate structured and unstructured data sources. The investment cases around Big Data have promised actionable insights that will solve real life problems and drive corporate revenues.

Senior Leadership is often looking for quick/tangible evidence that Big Data investments are warranted, but the problem is Big Data initiatives are not completed overnight. These complex initiatives require Data Strategy and execution, and in this landscape it's even more critical for data leaders to identify, measure/quantify, and communicate the Value of Data incrementally.

Using one or more case studies as examples, I will provide a strategy for delivering Value in your Big Data Program.

I will also touch on:

  • Identifying business problems/Use Cases
  • Creating a culture of innovation (fail fast mentality)
  • How to communicate measurements in a meaningful way
  • Delivering Value of Data results via Data Visualization
