Raytheon Missile Systems’ Supply Chain Organization was utilizing SAP ERP for day to day operations yet lacked a simple, easy to use tool to combine past and forward looking obligations in order to meet specific required milestones in the Supplier relationship process. A four person team representing all disciplines delivered a simple analytics driven solution that allows all players in the SCM process to clearly see future demands, plan timely and efficient meetings with suppliers, and reduce operating costs by planning across organizational boundaries and consolidating - reducing travel to suppliers.

Attendees will learn when not to deploy a larger project team and take advantage of the need that is today with less resources, how to take advantage of BI data and analytics, and how to institutionalize a gap within the business process.

Mark Paetz is a Business Intelligence specialist at Raytheon Missile Systems in Tucson, Arizona. Mark's twenty plus years in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence include every role from developer, business analyst, to managing a worldwide team dedicated to new project development and support and is considered a specialist to assist in all aspects of Business Intelligence whether it be a one person team, managing a team on larger projects, consulting, or strategic planning. Mark has the Project Management Institute's PMP certification, TDWI Business Intelligence certification, and is expected to complete the Master's program at Northwestern University in Predictive Analytics in spring 2015.
